It was incorrectly reported that Pleasant Township received CARES funding in an article in the Times on Dec. 9. The two townships receiving the funding were Liberty and McDonald.

In Saturday’s paper it was reported Hardin County is making grants available to small businesses and it was incorrectly reported that those applications are due Oct. 26. Instead, forms to apply for the grants will be available on Oct. 26, Commissioner Roger Crowe said today, and will need to be returned by Nov. 24.

ALGER — It was reported in Wednesday’s Times that the Alger Village Council agreed to install a fence around its water tower at Monday’s meeting. While the project was discussed, no action was taken by council.

The chili cookoff at Shenanigan’s in Dunkirk is slated for Oct. 25. The wrong date was included in a story in Saturday’s Times. The money raised will benefit Hannah Leichner, whose parents were killed in a murder-suicide in September.

In the picture of the successful bidders in the junior fair auction at the Hardin County Fair for the reserve champion beef feeders, the information was incorrect. The winning bid came from Quest Federal Credit Union, Slaybaugh Contracting, Rick McCullough and Legacy Business for Ladson Mathews’ project.

In photo captions in Saturday’s Times from the dairy feeder show during the Hardin County Fair, showmanship winners Cain and Samantha Sullivan were incorrectly listed as being from Belle Center. They are from Kenton.

The Kenton Elks Lodge’s annual Soccer Shoot is Sunday, Aug. 16 at the YMCA Corner Kick Soccer Fields on Ohio 292, south of Kenton. A headline in Wednesday’s Times incorrectly listed it on Saturday. It will run from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., with awards following at approximately 3 p.m.

In the news from Hardin County Municpal Court in Saturday’s Times, it was incorrectly reported that Dameon Hughes, 624 S. Detroit St., Kenton, was convicted of domestic violence. The original charge of domestic violence was amended to menacing and Hughes pleaded guilty. His sentence was correct as reported.

Correction

In a story in Saturday’s Times about Paul Brielmaier’s  17th straight year as a course marshal at The Memorial golf tournament in Dublin, it incorrectly referred to him receiving tourney tickets more than 25 years ago from “the late” Karl McNeal. Karl is still very much alive.
