A Kenton man was sentenced to 24 months in prison on charges of tampering with evidence and criminal damaging or endangering. Cory Benjamin Shepherd, 210 W. Columbus St., Apt. D, Kenton, was found guilty of the charges in a jury trial recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

Hardin County Recorder Brenda Rainsburg released the following property transfers for January: Franklin R. Vent and wife to Monte G. Vent and wife – part of Outlot 41, Original Plat, Forest. Tax $76.80.

Hardin County Treasurer Denise Althauser is reminding all property owners that real estate tax payments are due Wednesday, Feb. 13. The last day to pay manufactured home (trailer) tax in Hardin County without penalty is Wednesday, Feb. 27.

A Mount Blanchard woman was sentenced to a total of 69 months in prison for her part in the theft of property from a friend's grandmother in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, Brey Annea S.R. Wells, 17217 TR 194, Mount Blanchard, assisted Dakota Kleman in the theft of items from the home of Terri Fabo, Kleman’s grandmother, on April 25, 2018.

Bryan A. Clapper Jr., unknown address – speeding 30 mph in a 20 mph school zone, fined $150.
