Two men sent to prison in county court cases

Two men whose addresses were not available in court records were sent to prison after being found guilty of charges in cases heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Hardin County Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Walter Lee Johnson, Jr., also known as Walter Lee Jr. Johnson, who is an inmate in the Orient prison, pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated possession of drugs and attempted tampering with evidence.

Kenton pair face drug charges in Union Co.

MARYSVILLE — A Kenton couple faces drug charges in Union County after 91 balloons of heroin and other items were discovered inside the woman’s body. A Union County grand jury last week indicted Terry Amos Miller, 31 and his wife, Julie Anne Miller, 39, both of 121 N. Cherry St., Kenton, on one count each of trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence.

It didn’t take the Hardin County Common Pleas Court jury long to come up with a decision in the case against Gerrick Anthony “Tony” Sheldon on Tuesday. After deliberating for 2 1/2 hours, the jury returned a guilty verdict on 10 of the 11 counts against Sheldon, who was accused of recruiting his then 15-year-old son for a plot to kill his estranged wife and her son by burning their house down.
