Kentonite gets nine years for assault A Kenton man was sent to prison for nine years after he pleaded guilty in Hardin County Common Pleas Court to being part of a group of men who invaded a Kenton home and beat the inhabitants. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Ashton Dale Mundy, 139 E. Railroad Street, pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated burglary and felonious assault with a firearm specification in the Sept. 28, 2017 invasion of Darrian Lease’s home on North Main Street. Leader of home invaders sent to prison A Kenton man who authorities say was the leader of a group of five men who invaded a Kenton home in September was sent to prison for more than eight years earlier this week in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Peyton William George, 608 N. Main St., Kenton, pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, two counts of felony assault and grand theft with a firearms specification. Read More
West Liberty man sent to jail A West Liberty man was sentenced to 90 days of local incarceration and five years of community control after he pleaded guilty to domestic violence in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to information from Hardin County Clerk of Court Carrie Haudenschield’s office, the U.S. State Department has announced beginning April 2, the passport acceptance fee (also known as the execution fee) will go from $25 to $35.
