A Forest man was placed on community control after pleading guilty to charges in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Michael Lee Rigney, 409 W. Gage St., Forest, was found guilty of one count each of possession of heroin and forgery (uttering).

A Kenton woman was found guilty of one count of obstruction of justice in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Brittany Lee Tillman, 1037 S. Main St., Apt. C1, Kenton, pleaded guilty to the single charge and was sentenced to five years of community control by Judge Scott Barrett.

Fined $25 for speeding 47 mph in a 35 mph zone were: Jill D. Gillen, Huntsville; and Jordan M. Breitigam, Wayne.

Judge Scott Barrett is being asked to decide if a conflict of interest will keep a Marion attorney from representing a Roundhead man in an attempted murder case. Garrett “Tony” Sheldon is being charged with a total of 15 counts including attempted aggravated murder, a felony of the first degree, and four counts of attempted aggravated arson, after law enforcement says he attempted to convince his son to kill his estranged wife and stepson by setting their house on fire.

A rural Ada man is facing the likelihood of spending the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty in Hardin County Common Pleas Court earlier this week to five sex charges involving his own children. Albert Mast, 51, was charged in late July with a total of 123 counts, including 20 charges of rape and 53 counts of gross sexual imposition.
