Early/absentee voting will begin Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Hardin County. According to the Hardin County Board of Elections, voting hours in the courthouse will be as follows:

The deadline for voter registration to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 5, 2019 general election is Monday, Oct. 7. The Board of Elections, located in the basement of the courthouse, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 7. Those who have moved or changed their name may make those changes to their voter registration at this time.

The filing deadline for write-in candidates for the Nov. 5, 2019 general election is Monday, Aug. 26. The declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate must be filed at the Hardin County Board of Elections by 4 p.m.

Mayors in three Hardin County villages will face opposition in the Nov. 5 general election. The deadline for submitting petitions to run for a non-partisan office was Wednesday.

There will be one countywide issue along with several township and school requests on the Nov. 5 election ballot in Hardin County. The deadline for filing an issue to appear on the fall ballot was Wednesday.

The deadline to file nomination petitions for candidates in non-partisan race on Nov. 5, as well as local questions and issues including local option petitions for the 2019 General Election, is at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 in the Board of Elections Office in the Hardin County Courthouse.

August 7 at 4 p.m. is the deadline for candidates to file petitions with the Hardin County Board of Elections to appear on the fall general election ballot for municipal, township and school board races. It also is the deadline for local issues to be filed for the Nov. 5 election.

The filing deadline for independent candidates for the Nov. 5 general election is Monday, May 6. The petitions must be filed at the Hardin County Board of Elections by 4 p.m.

The filing deadline for partisan candidates and local questions and issues for the May 7 Primary election, including local option petitions, is Feb. 6. The petitions must be filed at the Hardin County Board of Elections by 4 p.m.

Two Republican candidates have filed for office in the spring primary. Lynn Webb Jones has filed petitions to run for the office of Kenton mayor.
