Danyka Iiams, 4, is all smiles as she leads her diary calf through the show arena as part of the children’s dairy showmanship on Friday. The arena was crowded with participants in the competition. Danyka is the daughter of Jordan and Amanda Iiams of Bellefontaine.

Rowland Vermaaten of Mount Victory helps start the annual antique tractor parade at the Hardin County Fair. Dozens of antique tractors made their way through the grounds and in front of the grandstands for review by fair visitors on Friday morning.

Lanna Blue of Columbus was one of eight Ridgemont girls from the class of 1968 to gather Thursday at the Hardin County Fair. The women enjoyed fair food, rode on the merry-go-round and shared many memories and laughs along the midway. It was the first year for the mini-reunion, but most agreed it won’t be the last.

Austin Root, 8, of Forest, enjoys a turn on the bungee ride on the midway of the county fair. He twisted and flipped into the sky above the midway for several minutes on Thursday. His parents are Chip and Marissa Root of Forest.

Kevin Risner attempted to introduce Admiral Birdbrain to two-year-old Easton Stayman at the Kenton-Hardin Health Department's booth at the Hardin County Fair, but Easton doesn't seem interested in the encounter.
