DUNKIRK — Seeker's Find Thrift Store will be having a back to school special now through the end of September. Individuals may purchase the first bag of clothing for $3 and get a second bag free. This is a great way to get a start on back to school clothes shopping at an affordable price.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will be hosting a free pool and pizza party for its Summer Reading Program participants at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 17 at the Mount Blanchard Pool. There will be swimming for one hour, and then pizza will be served for lunch.

The Hardin County Democratic Party will hold its regular monthly meeting at Henry’s Restaurant in Kenton at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11. Members may meet at 6 p.m. to order from the menu and enjoy a meal and conversation prior to the regular meeting.

“Life in Colonial America” is an open house style program that will be hosted by the Allen County Museum 620 W. Market St., Lima, on Thursday, July 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. This family program encourages kids, moms, dads, grandparents and others to join in some interactive activities and demonstrations to learn more about our Colonial ancestors.
