TLC Ministries has been a ministry of old-fashioned values in many aspects. “We like to hold to the old way of doing things,” Pastor Tony Crow said, from meeting the needs of others through help of many kinds, like old-fashioned revivals, gospel concerts and camp meetings. “Sometimes folks just need to relax,” he said.

The Blue Star Mothers October monthly meeting was held with 13 members/associates in attendance. The meeting was called to order by President Kathy Tracy.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will host its Holiday Concert featuring the concert band and several instrumental ensembles at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University men’s and women’s choruses will be in concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 in the Presser Hall Snyder Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Sesame Street Day is celebrated on November 10th. The beloved show Sesame Street first broadcast was on November 10, 1969.

FINDLAY — Two area students are members of the University of Findlay's Marching Oiler Brass which performed in a concert on Oct. 30. They are Haley Bonham of Mount Blanchard and Victoria Stacklin of Mount Victory.

The Colonel Crawford Chapter DAR held its regular meeting on Nov. 1 at We Luv Yogurt in Upper Sandusky. Regent Barb Wood gave the opening prayer.

The Lupus Foundation of America, Greater Ohio Chapter will host its monthly lupus support group in Lima on Monday, Nov. 21 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Crossroads Church of God, 775 S. Thayer Road. The support group is an open, small-group environment that encourages discussion among lupus patients and their families.
