Ex-commissioner honored for efforts in getting former reserve center for county The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office named its state-of-the-art training and meeting room after a man who was the driving force in developing the former Army Reserve Post into the Jacob Parrott Safety Center. Russell Ludwig was one of the three county commissioners, along with Gerald Potter and the late Jerry Cross, who were seated when the U.S. Army announced the reserve center on South Main Street in Kenton was to be closed.
