Teaching had become a way of life for Kenton Elementary School teachers Annette Ansley and Jodine Scott, who now find themselves as part of the first group of retiring teachers from the new elementary building. Ansley is retiring as a second grade teacher after 35 years in education, seven in Findlay and 28 in Kenton, nearly all of them at Hardin Central Elementary.

Sunday the Hardin County community will gather at the Simon Kenton School for the sixth annual Family Fun Day and Car Show. The activities, said organizer Larry Gossard, are designed to allow families to enjoy a day together of music, food and games, but is also a fundraiser to raise money for a cure of neurofibromatosis.

Charlene Hilty was recognized for her 35 years of service on the Hardin County Regional Planning Board. Chairman Larry Phillips presented Hilty with a plaque and thanked her for her service.
