A gathering place for veterans

Kenton City Council will be asked Monday night to become a part of a plan to transform an underutilized city park into a gathering place for veterans. Organizers of Camp Jacob Parrott believe the facility could reach the lives of thousands while also providing a unique opportunity for economic growth for Hardin County.

Cold treat in cold

February Teens of Month recognized

The Kenton Elks honored the February Teenagers of the Month during a luncheon Thursday, Feb. 12. The students from five area schools were selected for their character, leadership, service, citizenship and scholarship. There were no students nominated from Hardin Northern.

Alger fire

The Alger Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from McGuffey and Harrod in battling a blaze this morning at the home of Shawn Sanders, 308 McConnell Street.
