Township races decided

Each of the county’s townships elected a fiscal officer and a trustee in Tuesday’s elections. The results on the contested races follow: Blanchard fiscal officer - Bethany Driskill, 213; Elwanda Hastings, 117 and Christine Lawrence, 108.

Election for directors of Agricultural Society set

The Hardin County Agricultural Society will hold its annual election for directors on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the fair office at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. Members of the Agricultural Society who reside in the townships open for election may vote on the director representing their township.

Three candidates seek to be Kenton leader

John Alexander

Kenton Mayor Randy Manns is seeking another four years in office in Tuesday’s general election. Although his name is the only one listed for the race on the ballot, he has two write-in challengers. Both John Alexander and Joe Hord are hoping voters will write-in their names on the ballot for the mayor’s race in hopes of unseating the incumbent.
