Kenton church to serve as cooling center during excessive heat Hardin County Emergency Management Agency Director Jake Burgbacher has announced a cooling station has been established for persons who are in need of getting relief during the excessive heat warning. Kenton to create 4-way stop on Silver St. A four-way stop will be created on Silver Street in Kenton, west of Kenton Elementary School, at the direction of Mayor Randy Manns. Stop signs will be erected Friday by city crews on Silver, where it intersects with Lark and Autumn Haze lanes. Those streets already have stop signs before entering Silver. Read More

Progress being made at new HN track site DOLA — The construction of the new Hardin Northern track facility continues, Superintendent Jeff Price reported to his board of education at its meeting Wednesday night. Some of the concrete walks in the new sports facility were found to be unacceptable by the contractor and have been replaced, said Price.
