USV Alger EMS has record year of activity ALGER —The USV Alger Emergency Medical Service (EMS) had a record year with 532 emergency medical service calls, special events, patient refusals and other EMS events in 2017. Jobless report Hardin County posted a 4.4 percent unemployment rate in December, according to a report released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. KFD acquires used ambulance, step closer to helping transport patients The Kenton Fire Department has acquired its own ambulance and, within the next few months, expects to be able to begin transporting patients as a backup to the BKP Ambulance Service.
