McGUFFEY — The McGuffey Board of Public Affairs will be meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 in the village building.

Susan D. Sheldon, 624 S. Detroit St., reported an identity theft. She stated that she had received a notice in the mail of an overdue cable bill from a debt collections agency.

Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton has made a $15,000 donation to the Southeast Hardin Northwest Union Joint Firefighters made possible by the OhioHealth Foundation Wellness Programs and Services Fund.

A Lima man was sentenced to a prison term of 9 years and 9 months for four felonies involving the forced entry into a Kenton home in a Hardin County Common Pleas Court ruling released this week.

Northwestern Ohio is now seeing full implementation of Ohio’s Agricultural Fertilizer Applicator Certification regulation. The regulation was result of Senate Bill 150, which was co-sponsored by former State Senator Cliff Hite.

The Lynn Township trustees will have a year-end meeting on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the township hall. Immediately following the meeting, the trustees will reorganize for the coming year and appropriations will be presented for the trustees to review. The January meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8 at the township hall.
