Last year, the average rainfall for the same time period was 3.70 inches. Rainfall for May 1-May 31, 2016 is 0.62 inches less than the 10-year average rainfall during the same dates.

Hardin County is doing the right things to attract business and industry according to an economic development expert. Christine Schmenk, of the Brickler and Eckler law firm of Columbus, told a group of about 20 area leaders that Hardin County has developed a “pretty impressive” five-year plan.

Monthly recycling services hosted by Blanchard Township/Dunkirk and Mount Victory/Hale Township are slated on Tuesday. The Blanchard Township/Dunkirk recycling will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in Dunkirk in the parking lot of the former Price Funeral Home.
