For the past 25 years, members of the Hardin County community have donned their black ties and formal dresses and enjoyed a gala evening while raising funds for Hardin Memorial Hospital. Three familiar faces have been there from the first Mistletoe Ball to this year’s event.

Kyle William Albert, 414 E. Dixon St., Forest – speeding 46 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $25. Hannah G. Eady, Galion – speeding 60 mph in a 35 mph zone, fined $50.

Lisa Cahill, formerly of Hair Studio, stands at her new location, Southern Exposure Hair Salon, located at 220 S. Main St., Kenton, inside Soap Opera Laundromat. The salon is open seven days a week by appointment from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Kelli Bostelman, the former owner of Unique Boutique and Spalon, has now joined the team of “The Element Salon and Spa,” along with Marie Miller, Angie Flint and Judy Cross. Kelli has worked 22 years in the beauty industry, 14 years owning a salon, otherwise as an independent contractor.

A report was received of a large dog running loose in the area of Glendale and Carrol streets.

Members of the 2015 Hardin Leadership class were presented with certificates Thursday evening at a dinner at the Plaza Inn Restaurant in Mount Victory. It is the 23rd class to complete the leadership training.

Zonya Foco, “America’s Nutrition Leader,” gave five tips for reducing stress in life as guest speaker at the 2015-2016 Hardin County Health and Wellness Fair on Thursday in Kenton. Foco, a registered dietitian and certified health and fitness instructor, hosts a weekly series, “Zonya’s Health Bites” on national public television.

The Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame has announced the 2015 honorees to be inducted at the 13th annual Agriculture Hall of Fame recognition banquet. The inductees include: Clinton Archie McNutt and Family, Thomas E. Sprang, Robert L. White and Merritt and Hazel Wilson.
