LIMA — The Beach Boys, one of America’s greatest rock bands, will be taking the stage in Lima for the first time. They will be performing Sunday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center.

The City of Kenton’s boil water alert has been lifted as of 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release from the Kenton Water Works office. The alert had been in effect since Monday afternoon following a water main break at the intersection of Cleveland and West Franklin streets.

The Hardin County Engineer’s Office announced the reopening of Dudley Township Road 150 between County Road 225 and Township Road 245 following road repair.

Accidents were reported in ther 500 block of West Lima Street and at Columbus and Leighton streets.

DOLA — A rural Dola family lost everything but the clothes on their backs Sunday when a fire destroyed their home. According to Northern Hardin County Fire Department Assistant Chief Greg Hinebaugh, the alarm came into the department about 9:30 a.m. when a passerby saw smoke coming from the home of Dave and Sherry Wilmoth, 4733 TR 85.
