County beautification efforts honored

Keep Hardin County Beautiful hosted its 24th Annual Banquet on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at the First United Methodist Church. The theme was "A planter for all seasons - winter gardening with herbs.” The tables were decorated with several different live potted herbs, burlap table runners and fall leaves. The herbs were then given as door prizes.

One of the Kenton homes on this year’s Candy Cane Tour of Homes is owned by Dave and DeDe Snider on Township Road 120. DeDe (right) shows Deb Phillips, director of Keep Hardin County Beautiful, a display on a table which has been in the family since the 1800s.

Kenton man sent to prison

A Kenton man was sent to prison for three years after being convicted of operating a motor vehicle under the influence in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records at the Hardin County Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s office, Brian Keith Chamberlin, 8226 TR 120, Kenton, pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence of alcohol...
