MOUNT BLANCHARD — Looking five years out, Riverdale Local Schools’ finances are on track to remain in the black. Treasurer Jodie Ribley presented her five-year forecast to the board of education at Monday’s monthly meeting.

The Hardin County Board of Elections has announced the last days of in-person absentee/early voting hours for the 2015 general election.

Kenton Full Gospel Church will continue to hand out commodity boxes on the second Monday of each month. The commodity box program is not impacted by the emergency food pantry winter hours announced last week, said Pastor Anita VanBuskirk.

ALGER — The Alger council and board of public affairs will conduct a special meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. The session is to discuss a variety of topics with the main focus on the employee handbook.

Four candidates will vie for three at-large Kenton City Council openings in the Nov. 3 election. The at-large candidates are elected city-wide.

ADA — Deb Curlis has seen both sides of hospice, working for Community Health Professionals in Ada and also seeing her mother go through the program before passing away. It’s because of those experiences that she gives her all at what she does.
