ONU Symphony presents finale

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents the ONU Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Music Director Travis Jürgens will conduct the ONU Symphony Orchestra in the season finale, “A French Twist.”

Injured red tail hawk rescued

An injured red tail hawk was captured this week near Kenton by Diane Myers of the Black Swamp Rehabilitation Center. Employees from Robinson Fin Machines spotted the ailing bird. Myers believes it was most likely hit and will need surgery.

Senator meets with Hardin County banker

WASHINGTON — Ohio U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, ranking member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, met Tuesday with community bankers from across Ohio to discuss the importance of community banks to Ohio consumers and businesses.

Police Reports: April 28, 2015

A report was received of a rape at Morningside Villa Apartments. The victim reported that the male suspect, who is known to the victim, left the apartment on foot and was heading to another known location. The victim was transported by BKP to Lima Memorial Hospital for a rape kit.
