Two juveniles were caught shoplifting at Walmart. No charges were filed against the pair, but they were banned from the store when not with a parent. Jump ‘N Jim's reported a theft by a named suspect.

Friday A report was received of vandalism to the parking lot by St. John’s Evangelical Church. A male was reported chasing a female at Forest Court Apartments.

A report was received of an accident in the Kroger parking lot. A theft was reported at Ace Hardware.

Derek R. Hensley, 16562 TR 100, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Allen County. A report was received of damage to property at 310 E. Franklin St. caused by two named suspects.

A citizen called to report they were outside 624 E. Carrol St. and they could hear people fighting inside the apartment. Upon investigation, Jonathon L. Steele, same address, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

An employee of Fuel America reported that two suspects came into the store and one appeared to be trying to distract the employee while the other went to the beverage cooler. The suspect at the cooler came back to the font counter a short time later and paid for one 50 cent can of pop and a pack of cigarettes before leaving the store with the other suspect.

Friday A report was received of several purchases made on a credit card that were not made by the victim. In checking with the bank, the victim was able to find out that all the purchases were made by the same person, an acquaintance of the victim. Officers were dispatched to Marathon on E. Columbus Street for a report of a suspicious person.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Kuert Avenue near Carey Street. The driver, Emily Beaman, 830 Decatur St., was issued a citation for a turn signal violation and issued a summons for possessing drug paraphernalia.

Hardin Memorial Hospital maintenance workers called to report an abandoned vehicle that had been parked in the northeast end of the parking lot for several weeks. The vehicle was inventoried and towed by Lowery’s.

Kenton police The theft of six commercial truck batteries was reported from Rick’s Trucking Equipment, 310 Decatur St. An officer was dispatched to the Logan County line to pick up Rebecca F. Nutt, 15079 Ohio 309, and transport her to the Multi-County Jail in Marion.
