Joseph J. Murray, 31 Champion Court, turned right onto the roadway in front of Murphy’s U.S.A. gas station. He told officers he tried to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle and lost control, hit the roadway curb and then collided with a small tree and the light pole on the Arby’s property.

Carmen L. Cronley, 214 Gilbert St., reported a theft. She stated that she walked outside and found her driver’s side window busted out. She found that an unknown person had entered her vehicle and removed a flashlight. She also found that miscellaneous change was missing.

A report was received of a semi hitting lights and wires at the intersection of Franklin and Detroit streets. Phone harassment was reported at 353 N. Detroit St.

A report was received that an employee of the AMVETS Post 1994 failed to lock up after closing. When the problem was discovered, the surveillance video was watched and it was learned that an employee and her husband stayed in the business until 5:30 a.m.

Kenton police Friday Officers were dispatched to 651 N. Barron St. for a report of a theft from a vehicle.

Officers were aware of an active warrant for Lloyd Paul Stanley, 815 Morningside Drive Apt. C3, through the Hardin County Municipal Court. Stanley was located at his residence and taken into custody on the warrant.

Robert Lee Davis, Harrod, was issued a citation for theft. An officer was requested to Glendale and Columbus streets to assist in retrieving stolen merchandise.

Jonathon R. Kohnen, Lima, and Jamie L. Osborn, Grove City, were stopped in traffic, facing west in the 900 block of E. Columbus Street. Constance E. Dietz, 414 W. Carrol St., approached from the rear and struck the back of Kohnen’s vehicle, which was pushed forward and struck the back of Osborn’s vehicle.

Dustin D. Randall, Belle Center, reported that a tool bag was stolen out of his work van in the 200 block of W. Franklin Street. A fight was reported at Cherry and Columbus streets.

A report was received of a large dog running loose in the area of Glendale and Carrol streets.
