ADA — Kenton had a pair of seven-run innings on the way to a 16-5 victory over Ada in a baseball matchup of the Hardin County rivals on Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats had 15 hits with 8 different players getting base hits.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan plated a pair of runs in the third and fourth innings on the way to a 4-0 victory over Graham in Central Buckeye Conference baseball action on Wednesday. The Raiders received a two-run single from Tyler Allen, an RBI single by Trace Tevis and an RBI by Cole Jones in the victory.

Dixie (Gossard) and Robert Shepherd are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The couple were married April 25,1969 at Walnut Grove Church by Rev. Carl F. Minter. Dixie is the daughter of the late Warren and Helen Gossard. She was employed at Soap Opera Laundromat for several years.

Four locations throughout the county will be offered on Saturday for residents to dispose of unwanted medication. Medication Disposal Day, also known as Drug Take Back Day, will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont girls track team was third and the Gopher boys were fourth in a quad meet that included North Union, Vanlue and Cardington-Lincoln. North Union won the boys meet with 116 points, followed by Cardington -Lincoln with 46.5, Vanlue with 40 and Ridgemont with 26.5.

The Dunkirk Girl Scout troops met recently and worked on a Juliette Low patch and Girl Scout Ways badge. Shirley Green led the program telling the girls about Juliette (Daisy) as a young girl, and into her adulthood. Daisy was very talented. She painted, and sculpted.

Hardin County Municipal Court is benefiting from its new online bill paying program in two ways. The court took in $170,000 through the program, noted Judge Greg Grimslid and Clerk Jenifer Alger in their annual report to Kenton City Council on Monday night.

DOLA — The Ada boys won five events on the way to a third place finish in the eight-team Hardin Northern Invitational on Monday night. Ada, which finished with 84 points, received individual first place efforts from Michael Crouse, Alex Morgan, Miguel Jordan and Phillip Gautier.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Eight errors proved costly for Riverdale as the Lady Falcons fell to Van Buren 13-1 in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game on Monday afternoon. Van Buren scored four runs in the first inning and added seven in the second on the way to the five-inning win.
