Indian Lake scored 10 runs in the top of the third inning to put the game out of reach in a 17-2 rout of Kenton in a non-league softball game on Wednesday afternoon. Kenton plated both of its runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on a double by Lacie Nichols.

The seniors at the Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had a St. Patrick’s Day Party. Mary Hall won a prize for wearing the most green.

The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center took a trip to Findlay to the Royal Buffet recently.

After four years, many residents of Hardin County are still overweight and poor, according to the most recent health assessment report. The first health study of youth and adults in the county was completed in 2014. The results of the newest study have been made available and while some things haven't changed much, said Kenton-Hardin Health Department Director of Nursing Cindy Keller, there is reason to be optimistic over some health trends.

BELLEFONTAINE — Keegan Wilson had the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead Ben Logan to a 2-1 win over Wapakonera in a non-league baseball game on Tuesday afternoon. The Raiders, who improve to 2-0 on the season, scored in the first inning on a RBI double by Garrett Dixon.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale crossed home plate 13 times in the first innings and 10 more times in the second inning in cruising to a 28-13 softball victory over Mansfield Christian on Tuesday. The Falcons, who improve to 1-1 on the season, won for the first time since the 2017 season.

BELLEFONTAINE — Grace Deardurff threw a three-hit shutout, striking out 11 batters as Ben Logan defeated Marion Local 5-0 in a non-league softball game on Tuesday afternoon. The Raiders, who improve to 2-0 on the season, took the lead with two runs in the third inning before adding three more runs in the fifth frame.

CAREY — The Riverdale boys and girls track teams each placed third of five teams in Tuesday’s season-opening meet at Carey, with the Blue Devil boys and Hopewell-Loudon girls coming out on top. The Falcon boys finished with a total of 76 points, while the girls scored 72.
