Thanksgiving dinner Volunteers formed an assembly line Thursday morning to serve more than 800 Thanksgiving dinners to area residents, first responders and shut-ins unable to get to the meal at St. John's Evangelical Church in Kenton. Artwork featured at Alger Library event ALGER — The Second Expression Art Exhibition and Fundraiser for Hardin County artists and the Alger Public Library, held on Nov. 3, showcased more than 40 pieces of artwork of all shapes and sizes from all over the county. “Desert Dwellers” by Bridget Gilbert won the $50 Best Young Artist Award; “Cranes of Flight” by Ariel Carl won the $50 People’s Choice Award; and “The Guitar Man” by Ruth Anne Osborne won the $300 Best of Show Award.
