The merry-go-round at Kenton's Veterans Memorial Park has been completely refurbished and power-coated, said board member Marshall Wolowicz, and is ready to roll. It had gotten hard to find parts for the equipment, he said, and Doug Seiler donated time in removing the merry-go-round and taking it to JB Tubular in Mount Victory for the processing.

The annual First United Methodist Church Cookie Walk is planned for Dec. 8 at the church, located at 234 N. Main St., Kenton. The doors will open at 10 a.m. and guests will be welcome to fill boxes with cookies for the holidays. A small box will be $15 and a large box $20.

The Hardin County Council on Aging led a group of area residents on a recent trip to Ireland, Dingle Peninsula, Woollen Mills, Blarney Castle, Book of Kells and many more interesting sites.

Joe Dulin, a veteran from Hardin Hills Health and Rehab, receives a handmade lap quilt from the Joy Quilters. All veterans at the facility received one and a certificate of thanks from the staff of Hardin Hills.

WOOSTER – Ohio Hi-Point's Outdoor Careers students placed third and won $500 at the Ohio High School Landscape Olympics (OHLO) on Nov. 1 and 2. OHLO, which tests students' skills through hands-on, competitive events designed by industry professionals, is put on by the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association and takes place at OSU ATI in Wooster.

Benjamin Logan FFA recently traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to participate in the 91st National FFA Convention. This year the chapter visited Tuttle Orchards, Kelsay Farms, Umbarger Show Feeds, and Poe Hamps Farm.

Pippin, the story of a young prince who longs to find passion and adventure in his life, will be staged this weekend by the Kenton High School Vocal Music Department. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kenton Middle School auditorium.
