It took double overtime, but the host Rams finally managed to outlast the Pirates, outscoring them 7-1 in the second OT period to claim a 47-41 Northwest Central Conference win.

FOREST — The village of Forest will celebrate the third annual Charlie Brown Christmas on Sunday, an event that has expanded from its humble beginnings. In 2014, recalled organizer Becky Taylor, the village’s Community Improvement Corporation was looking for ways to promote its downtown businesses for the Christmas holidays.

When his deputies approached Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart about growing facial hair during No-Shave November, he balked at the idea. But his wife, Tammy, suggested he not dismiss it quickly.

The 2018 Hardin County dog tags will go on sale beginning Friday at locations throughout the county. Every dog three months or older must have a dog license, said Dog Warden Jamie Burchiel.
