DEFIANCE — After fouling on the first two of her three preliminary throws, Kenton discus specialist Lauren Johnson was hoping to land a a good throw to earn a spot in the finals on her last attempt of the prelims during Division II district competition at Defiance High School on Wednesday afternoon.

For the past four years, Ashley Morris was a leader for the Kenton girls basketball team both as a point guard and as the team’s top scorer. The Wildcat senior hopes to have a similar role during the next four years as a member of the Wilmington College basketball team.

The Hardin Northern Elementary Students of the Month of April were announced recently.

WAPAKONETA — Ada softball coach Troy Erickson and his Bulldog players knew that Parkway was a very good hitting team going into Tuesday afternoon’s district semifinal contest with the Panthers. It didn’t take the Bulldogs long to find out just how good.

Shelby Rowe and Cody Henderson are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage. Shelby is the daughter of David and Mechel Rowe of Alger.
