The Hardin County Homemakers and guests gathered for their annual Christmas program on Dec. 6 at the Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, north of Kenton.

While the Kenton girls basketball team came into Saturday’s game against Van Buren with a perfect record through four games, head coach Ryan Miller still had not seen the type of effort he had wanted to out of his team.

BUCYRUS — Noah Eikenbary finished in second in his weight class and Riley Castle was fourth to lead the Kenton wrestling team at the Bucyrus Invitational on Saturday.

After spending several years as a funeral director, Mike Armentrout felt a calling to be in the ministry. He decided to follow that calling and is now the minister for Kenton’s First Christian Church. Armentrout has been a Christian his whole life, but prior to his calling, he was what he calls a “nominal Christian.”

McGUFFEY — Trailing visiting Lincolnview by one point entering the fourth quarter the players on the USV boys basketball team knew they needed to turn up their pressure on the defensive end of the floor and that they needed to pound the ball inside the paint to Chase Rose and Trevor Dotson on the offensive end in the final eight minutes.

MOUNT VICTORY — Trailing just five points to Allen East at the half Friday night, the Ridgemont boys basketball team got the game to within a point with four minutes to go in the third.
