The Kenton Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team defeated Riverdale 53-39 on Thursday to improve to 4-2 on the season. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Tyson Lawrence with 21 points.

MOUNT VICTORY — Ridgemont’s first-half effort powered the Gophers to a 10-point lead over Northmor at halftime in Wednesday’s girls basketball contest. The Gophers extended their lead to 16 after three and held off a fourth quarter push from Northmor to take the 55-43 non-conference win.

BELLEFONTAINE — Nikki Current netted 26 points to lead Ben Logan to a 58-33 victory over Springfield Northwestern in a Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball contest Wednesday night.

RAWSON — Cory-Rawson gained the upperhand in the first half on the way to a 63-44 victory over Ada in a non-league boys basketball game on Wednesday. The host Hornets jumped ahead 16-10 after eight minutes and 36-21 at halftime on the way to victory.

GRANVILLE — Junior Ryan Bruns' second consecutive double-double led the Ohio Northern men's basketball team to a 93-64 road victory at Denison on Wednesday evening. The Polar Bears improve to 6-3 overall, while the Big Red drop to 6-4.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan seventh grade boys basketball team lost to Urbana on Wednesday night at Ben Logan. The score of the game was not received.

It took a few minutes to get the high-paced, up-tempo flow to the game the Kenton Lady Wildcats wanted to play against Upper Scioto Valley on Tuesday night. But once they got the game to the pace they wanted, things seemed to come easy for the Lady Wildcats as they took control of the game with a 19-3 run to end the first quarter on the way to a 72-36 victory over the Rams.

DOLA — Allen East had a hot hand from the field, while Hardin Northern struggled to find the inside of the rim as the Mustangs ripped the Polar Bears 46-9 in a non-league girls basketball contest on Tuesday night. The Mustangs, who led 17-3 after eight minutes and 29-5 at halftime, shot 20 of 28 from the field in the game, including making 19 of 23 shots inside the three-point arc.
