BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan girls bowling team defeated Indian Lake 2,314-1,411 on Tuesday night. Leading the Raiders was Kaylee Nicholas with a 356 series.

HARROD — Seven Kenton youth wrestlers earned first place on Sunday at Allen East MVKWA mini-meet. Leading the way with 3 pins was Tim Wilkinson wrestling in the 11-year-old, 160-pound group.

The White team defeated the Black team by one point in Masonic Pool Tournament play on Thursday. The White team now leads the tournament by 21 points.

The Ben Logan Middle School girls basketball teams won a pair of games on Monday night. The seventh grade Raiders defeated Graham 32-16.

Slow starts to games have been Riverdale’s bugaboo so far this season and another one came back to haunt the Lady Falcons on Saturday afternoon against Kenton. The Lady Wildcats forced the Falcons into the 11 first quarter turnovers in jumping ahead 23-2 after eight minutes.

MOUNT BLANCHARD —Playing their third game in five days, Kenton coach Matt McCullough was worried his team might be getting a bit wary when the Wildcats traveled to Riverdale on Saturday night. The Wildcat mentor had nothing to be worried about as the Wildcats forced the Falcons into eight first-quarter turnovers and scored the first 20 points of the game on the way to a 74-43 non-league victory.

MOUNT VICTORY — A slow first half by the Ridgemont Gophers and five first-half three-pointers from Triad allowed the Cardinals to build up a 31-14 lead at halftime in a boys basketball contest on Saturday. While the Gophers more than doubled their first-half score in just the third quarter with 16, the halftime deficit proved too large to overcome as Triad took the 75-48 win.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley outscored Van Buren in all four quarters on the way to a 59-50 victory over the visiting Black Knights in non-league boys basketball action on Saturday night. The Rams, who led 11-8 after eight minutes and 26-20 at halftime, were paced by Wayne Lowery’s 25-point effort.

URBANA — Ben Logan took control from the opening tip, outscoring Urbana 15-4 in the first eight minutes and building on the lead from there on the way to a 65-28 victory in Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball action on Saturday.
