KHS’s Schriber ousted in district tourney

PERRYSBURG — Kenton’s Mykaela’s Schriber won the first game of her Division II district tennis match against Napoleon’s Aliza Lankenau on Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the match for Schriber as Lankenau took the next 12 games to defeat the Wildcat sophomore 6-1, 6-0 in play at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.

Kenton, O-G looking for three in a row

Three weeks ago at the midpoint of the football season, the Kenton and Ottawa-Glandorf football teams were both sitting at 1-4. After two straight wins for both teams, the Wildcats and Titans square off at Robinson Field on Friday night with hopes of getting back to .500 on the season and giving themselves a shot to remain in the postseason playoff race in the final two weeks. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Lady ‘Cats top Bath, clinch first-ever winning season

LIMA — Kenton tallied all three of its goals in the second half as the Lady Wildcats rallied to defeat Bath 3-2 and clinch the first winning season in school history on Tuesday night. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Sydney Plott, Haley Hunt and Hannah Holland tallied goals in the second 40 minutes for the Wildcats, who finish their regular season with a 7-5-3 overall mark and a 2-5-2 WBL record.

KHS boys soccer gets school-record 13th win

MARION — Hayden Hicks netted five goals as the Kenton boys soccer team picked up a school record 13th win, defeating Marion Harding 10-0 on Tuesday night. Landon Bartlett added two goals and three assists and Drew Hoppe, Cobe Heydinger and KP Miller chipped in with one goal each as the Wildcats improved to 13-1-1 on the season. Jacob Zepeda, Michael Crawford, Reed Cook and Enrique Mendez all added assists.
