St. Marys slow down Wildcats

St. Marys did what it does best and controlled the football with its running game against Kenton on Friday night. The Wildcats were unable to find any consistency in what they do best - their passing game as - after scoring a touchdown on their first possession of the game, they weren’t able to find the end zone again until the fourth quarter in a 30-13 setback to the visiting Roughriders.

Ada spikers fall to LCC

LIMA — Melina Woods had 32 kills but it wasn't enough to lift Ada to a win as the Bulldogs fell to Lima Central Catholic in four games 25-23, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21 in non-league volleyball action on Thursday. Woods added 11 digs, 3 blocks and 2 aces, while Kaiti Newland contributed 13 kills and setter Maddie Gossard had 27 assists, 7 digs and 4 aces.

KHS boys improve to 10-0

VAN WERT — The Kenton boys soccer pushed its winning streak to 10 games on Thursday night, defeating Van Wert 5-0 in a Western Buckeye League contest. Kenton, which is now 10-0 on the season and 5-0 in WBL play, took just seven minutes to get on the scoreboard as Reed Cook put the rebound of a corner kick into the net.
