WAYNESFIELD — Led by Brady Hipsher’s 74, the Upper Scioto Valley boys golf team shot a 358 to place third at the Northwest Central Conference tournament on Wednesday at Prairie View Golf Club in Waynesfield. Lehman Catholic won the tournament with a 338 and also finished in the top spot in the final season standings, with USV in second.

OTTAWA — With a score of 417, the Riverdale boys golf team placed eighth out of nine teams in the Blanchard Valley Conference tournament on Wednesday at Country Acres Golf Club in Ottawa. Van Buren won the competition with a 304, while Liberty-Benton came in second at 349 and Hopewell-Loudon had a 351 to place third.

Kenton won all three singles matches to pull out a 3-2 non-league girls tennis win over River Valley on Wednesday. In singles play, Mykaela Schriber defeated Maggie Dennis 7-5, 6-3; Abby Hartshorn topped Grace Payne 6-0, 6-1 and Kelsey Flowers topped Sara Fohl 6-0, 6-1.

DELPHOS — The Ada boys golf team placed ninth out of nine teams with a score of 469 at the Northwest Conference tournament at the Delphos Country Club on Wednesday. Ada also finished ninth in the final season standings.

SPRINGFIELD — The Ben Logan Middle School volleyball team topped Springfield Northwestern on Wednesday night. The eighth grade Raiders won in two sets 25-13, 25-10.

After going through a rough patch, the Kenton volleyball team snapped a five-match skid with a three-set win over Bellefontaine on Monday night. The Lady Wildcats picked up where they left off Tuesday as they dismantled Lima Senior in straight sets 25-15, 25-18, 25-17 behind the play at the net of Lauren Johnson and Alexis Brooks.

Hannah Holland scored three goals in the first 17 minutes of the game to lead the way as the Kenton girls soccer team cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting Van Wert in Western Buckeye League soccer action on Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats, 4-2-2 overall and 1-2-1 in WBL action, wasted little time gaining the upperhand as Holland tallied four goals total in the game.

ADA — Melina Woods had 30 kills and 4 blocks as Ada volleyball team improved to 2-0 in Northwest Conference play with a 25-17, 25-12, 25-15 win over visiting Delphos Jefferson on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs improve to 7-4 overall and 2-0 in league action.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan won a five-set match over Graham 25-16, 25-21, 18-25, 24-26 and 15-8 in Central Buckeye Conference volleyball action on Tuesday night. The Raiders, who improve to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in CBC play, were sparked by Stanleigh Archer’s 18 kills, 18 digs and 4 blocks.

NEW KNOXVILLE — Nate Allen tallied three goals to lead the way as Ada topped New Knoxville 5-3 in non-league boys soccer action Tuesday night. Logan Williams and Noah Pinkney both added a goal and an assist for the Bulldogs, who improve to 7-1 at the midway point of their schedule.
