LIMA — Melina Woods had 32 kills but it wasn't enough to lift Ada to a win as the Bulldogs fell to Lima Central Catholic in four games 25-23, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21 in non-league volleyball action on Thursday. Woods added 11 digs, 3 blocks and 2 aces, while Kaiti Newland contributed 13 kills and setter Maddie Gossard had 27 assists, 7 digs and 4 aces.

FINDLAY — Liberty-Benton did not need much firepower from the offense. The defense and special teams accounted for five touchdowns in the first half as the Eagles soared past visiting Riverdale by a 63-0 margin on Friday night.

SPENCERVILLE — Ada saw a 10-0 first quarter lead over Spencerville disappear, giving up 13 in the second quarter on its way to a 21-17 defeat on Friday night. The Northwest Conference loss drops Ada to 3-2 overall, 1-1 in the NWC. Spencerville climbs to 3-2 and remains unbeaten in conference play at 2-0.

VAN WERT — The Kenton boys soccer pushed its winning streak to 10 games on Thursday night, defeating Van Wert 5-0 in a Western Buckeye League contest. Kenton, which is now 10-0 on the season and 5-0 in WBL play, took just seven minutes to get on the scoreboard as Reed Cook put the rebound of a corner kick into the net.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Trailing 2-0. Riverdale had several chances to inch closer to Bluffton in the second half of its boys soccer matchup with the Pirates on Thursday night.

CAREY — Riverdale cross country competed in the Blue Devil Run on Thursdsay, with the girls taking third place with 67 points. The Lady Falcons finished two points back of North Baltimore without top runner Juleigha Collier, who dressed but did not compete.

ADA — Liberty-Benton handed Ada just its second boys soccer loss in nine games this season, topping the Bulldogs 2-0 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association matchup on Thursday afternoon. Ace Gamble had seven saves in goal for the Bulldogs, who fall to 7-2 on the season.

SPRINGFIELD — Ben Logan defeated Central Buckeye Conference crossover foe Shawnee in three games 25-19, 25-21, 25-19 on Thursday night. The Raiders improve to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in CBC play.

HARROD — Upper Scioto Valley defeated Lima Senior 180-242 in a non-league golf match on Thursday at Colonial Hills. Brady Hipsher carded a 42 to lead the Rams, while Kaden Parker was close behind with a 43.

BELLEFONTAINE — Will Kenoyer and Ethan Ricketts both carded 83s to lead Ben Logan to a third place finish in the Mad River Division during the Central Buckeye Conference golf tournament on Thursday at Cherokee Hills. The Raiders, who had a team score of 365, also received a 97 from Garrett Allen and 102s from Bryce Loomis and Carter Stewart. Gavin Clay added a 112.
