The Kenton Little League Braves beat North Union Scott’s 15-11 on Saturday. Hitting for the Braves were Anthony Hunt with a double and three singles; Kyle Thrush with three singles; H. Taylor with two singles and Rexton Paquin and Ethan Rall with a single each.

COLUMBUS — Riverdale’s Kyle Evans had a tough decision to make going into Friday’s Division III state track and field meet. Entering the meet with the top time in the 400 meter dash and also a part of the Falcons 3,200 meet relay team that had the 13th best qualifying time, the Riverdale senior needed to decide whether he wanted to run in both events or concentrate on just his individual event.

COLUMBUS — Ridgemont’s Meadow Cromer didn’t quite get to the 11-0 mark she was trying to reach in the pole vault at the Division III state track meet on Friday. However the Gopher junior did accomplish something no Ridgemont track athlete has done in 30 years – earning a state medal.

COLUMBUS — Ben Logan senior Reese Wilcoxon earned a spot on the podium during Division II state track and field competition on Friday. The Raider senior had a toss of 51-05 1/2 on his final throw of the day to earn him a seventh place finish.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Mark Gillfillan 5k Memorial Run/Walk will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 23 at Riverdale School. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

BLUFFTON, Ohio —The Bluffton University women’s basketball team will host a Skills Camp from June 26-29. The two-session camp is open to girls entering grades 2-8.

WAYNESFIELD – The summer season kicks off at Waynesfield Raceway Park on Saturday with a full program of racing headlined by the Quest Federal Credit Union Non-Wing sprint cars. The non-wings will be running for a $1,500 payout.
