MOUNT VICTORY — Ridgemont juniors Meadow Cromer and Sidney Richardson know what to expect when they walk into Jesse Owens Stadium in Columbus to compete in the Division III state track meet on Friday. Cromer will be competing in the pole vault for the third consecutive year, while Richardson takes the track in the 200 dash for the second straight year.

BELLEFONTAINE — If someone had told Madison Manns at the beginning of the track season that she would be competing at the state meet, she wouldn’t have believed them. But the sophomore’s hard work has paid off as Manns will be representing Benjamin Logan at the Division II level in the high jump in Columbus on Friday.

McGUFFEY — Megan Carey is looking to move up on the podium this weekend when she competes in the 100 hurdles for the second year in a row at the Division III state track and field meet in Columbus.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale is looking for a head varsity baseball coach and a head girls track coach as well as coaches for its junior varsity and eighth grade volleyball teams. Interested candidates should send a resume to Craig Taylor via email at ctaylor@riverdale.k12.oh.us.

The second farm White Sox defeated the Dodgers 9-1 on Wednesday. Gavin Sealscott led the way at the plate for the White Sox by going 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s Carrol Pauley and Kyle Evans are no strangers to the competition of the Division III state track and field meet. The Riverdale seniors both will be making their third appearances in Columbus this week when Pauley competes for the Falcons in the discus and shot put, and Evans puts on his running shoes in the 400 dash and as a member of the team’s 3,200 relay.

The second farm Dodgers defeated the Red Sox 8-7 on Tuesday. Hitters for the Dodgers included Isaiah Poland with a triple and home run, Jesse Shoop with a double and single, Evan Rall with two singles, Hudson Latimore with a home run and Paxton Rhodes with a double.

DOLA — Hardin Northern held its spring sports program recently, recognizing its boys and girls track, baseball and softball athletes. Members of the boys track team receiving special awards were Owen Bame, James Rickenbacher and Frank McCoy, Century Awards; Nick Bame, Duo Century Award and Most Valuable Runner; Samuel Diller, most improved; McCoy, most valuable field events; and Owen Bame, Polar Bear award.

LEXINGTON — Ben Logan’s Reese Wilcoxon will be going to the Division II state track meet in a second event.   The Raider senior had a top throw of 52-4 3/4 to place fourth in the shot put at the Lexington Division II regional track meet on Saturday.   The top four in each event qualified for this week’s state …
