Polar Bear outing July 8

The Polar Bear Legacy golf outing – a four-person golf scramble – will be held on Saturday, July 8 at Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. Registration is at 7:30 a.m., and tee-off is at 8:30 a.m. with a shot gun start.

Mauk inks deal with CFL’s Saskatchewan

Former Kenton High School quarterback Maty Mauk is going to get a chance to show what he can do in the Canadian Football League. The 2012 KHS graduate reached a free agent deal on Monday with the Saskatchewan Rough Riders, according to reports on Twitter that have been retweeted on Mauk’s page.

Gibson to run track at Wilmington

Running in college

Miranda Gibson has been an integral part of the Kenton High School track and cross country teams the past four years, including being a member of the regional qualifying 4 by 100 meter relay teams the past two springs. The Kenton senior signed a National Letter of Intent last week to take her talents to and continue her education at Wilmington College in the fall.
