CLYDE — The Kenton Middle School wrestlers were 12th out of 20 teams with 84.5 points at the 5th Annual Jacob Andrews Memorial Invitational held at Clyde High School.

The Kenton youth wrestling team had eight kids finish in first place and nine more place second at the MVKWA wrestling meet at Bluffton this past Sunday. Wrestlers competed against teams from Ada, Allen East, Bluffton, Cory Rawson, Delphos, Elida, Lima City, Lima Bath, Lima Shawnee and Ottawa Glandorf.

The Ben Logan seventh grade boys basketball team lost to Indian Lake 38-28 on Monday evening. Kaden Arn of Ben Logan was the game’s leading scorer with 17 points.

BELLEFONTAINE — Upper Scioto Valley came to life offensively at the right time and most of its opportunities at the free throw line as the Rams rallied from a six-point second-half deficit for a 51-45 victory over host Ben Logan on Saturday night.

Kenton found its long-range game early against Ada, and combined with an effective high-pressure defense, the Wildcats cruised to a 58-22 win in girls basketball action Saturday afternoon.

MOUNT VICTORY — Priscilla Howland had 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Ridgemont as the Gophers defeated Delaware Christian 59-35 Saturday to improve to 9-4 on the season. Jen Jordan added 12 points for Ridgemont, while Meadow Cromer pitched in with 7 points and Faith Jenkins had 6 points.

DOLA —Arlington outscored Hardin Northern in all four quarters, including by 35 points over the middle two quarters, to pull away for an 81-29 non-conference girls basketball win on Saturday.

ADA — Ohio Northern had five players score in double figures and shot 59 percent from the floor in a 101-91 victory over No. 13-ranked Marietta on Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center. The Polar Bears (6-7 overall, 4-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) got 19 points each from seniors Devon Allen, Konnor Baker and Aron Thress.

MARIETTA — Senior Britt Lauck tied her career-high with 21 points, leading No. 10-ranked Ohio Northern to a 79-65 Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball victory at Marietta on Saturday. The Polar Bears remain undefeated at 13-0 overall and stay atop the OAC with a 6-0 league record, while the Pioneers fall to 7-6, 1-5.
