WAYNESFIELD — Due to the heat index this weekend, Waynesfield Raceway Park officials have decided to move all times back 1/2 hour for Saturday night’s show. The pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with the grandstand gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Voluntary conditioning for the Kenton seventh and eighth grade middle school football teams will begin Monday, July 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The first official practice will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1.

MARION — A pair of local golfers competed in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Marion Country Club on Monday.

The Kenton High school football team beat Lexington Christian Academy in the finals to win the University of Kentucky seven-on-seven tournament this past weekend.

The Kenton High School cheerleaders will hold their annual mini cheer clinic for students entering grades K-8 from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 1-4 at KHS. The cost of clinic is $25 and includes a T-shirt.
