MOUNT BLANCHARD — Bluffton scored three runs in the fifth inning to take the lead for good and added two insurance runs in the seventh in a 7-3 non-conference softball victory against Riverdale on Tuesday.

DeGRAFF — Riverside scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to earn a 4-2 victory over Upper Scioto Valley in Northwest Central Conference baseball on Wednesday.

BELLEFONTAINE — Urbana scored two runs in the top of the first inning Wednesday, but that was all the Hillclimbers got against Ben Logan pitcher Cole Waugh.

DeGRAFF — Riverside scored nine runs in the first two innings and went on to defeat Upper Scioto Valley 13-3 in five innings in Northwest Central Conference softball Tuesday.

McGUFFEY — The Riverdale girls track team won five events Tuesday to capture the team title at the Hardin County Track and Field Meet. Riverdale scored 135.5 points, 31 more than runner-up Kenton.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley won three events to capture first place in the boys portion of the Hardin County Track and Field Meet at its home stadium Tuesday. The Rams scored 137 points, 12.5 points more than second-place Riverdale.

Kenton earned its second Western Buckeye League tennis victory of the season Tuesday, topping Elida 3-2. The Wildcats (8-9, 2-7 WBL) got a pair of singles win.

ELIDA — Kenton scored a pair of runs in the fifth inning on its way to a 3-1 Western Buckeye League baseball victory over Elida on Tuesday.

WAYNESFIELD — Hardin Northern took an 8-0 lead Tuesday and held on to defeat Waynesfield-Goshen 8-6 in Northwest Central Conference softball.

URBANA — Benjamin Logan survived a late-game push from Urbana to take a 2-1 win in Central Buckeye Conference softball action on Tuesday.
