Bulldog baseball grabs first victory

WAYNESFIELD — Ada picked up its first win of the season Wednesday, topping Waynesfield-Goshen 10-9 in eight innings in nonconference baseball action. The Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the first and led 7-1 after three innings.

Rams fall to R’side

McGUFFEY — Riverside used three big innings to defeat Upper Scioto Valley 12-0 in six innings Wednesday in Northwest Central Conference baseball. The Pirates scored three runs in the first inning and four each in the fifth and sixth.

Farmer dominant in circle as Falcons win

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale was a 9-1 winner over McComb in a Blanchard Valley Conference Softball game Wednesday. Taylor Farmer (6-4) had a no-hitter broken up on a seventh-inning double, and the runner came around to score an unearned run.

Pirates defeat USV

McGUFFEY — Riverside defeated Upper Scioto Valley 16-3 in five innings Wednesday in Northwest Central Conference softball. The Pirates scored twice in the top of the first and runs in each the second and third innings to go ahead 12-0 after three.

Wildcats win wild one in 11

Kenton didn’t make it easy Tuesday, but the Wildcats still came out on top. St. Marys scored two runs to tie the game in the top of the seventh, but Kenton got a walkoff win in the 11th inning to grab a 5-4 Western Buckeye League baseball victory in a game that lasted nearly three hours.
