Storr leads Polar Bear women to 17-11 win

ADA — Freshman Madeline Storr scored a career-high seven goals to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team to a 17-11 victory over NCAA Division II foe Urbana on Wednesday night at Dial-Roberson Stadium. The Polar Bears improve to 3-4 overall, while the Blue Knights fall to 0-6.

Hemmerly one of six to be inducted into Wyandot HOF

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame will host its sixth annual induction ceremony and banquet at 6 p.m. April 16. This year’s class includes Carey’s Jim Draper, Mohawk’s Don Hannam, Riverdale’s Hank Hemmerly, Upper Sandusky’s Curtis McMillan and Steve Schertzer, Wynford’s Mike McGuire and the 1955 Upper Sandusky football team.

Riverdale plans youth soccer tournament

FOREST — The Riverdale Spring Classic Soccer Tournament for youth will be May 7-8 at the Ranger Sports Complex, 406 W. Zimmerman St., Forest. The fee is $100 per team, and payment and registration must be received by April 15.

ADA — Freshman Madeline Storr had three goals to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in an 18-5 loss to undefeated Kenyon on Tuesday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium. The Polar Bears fall to 1-4 in their inaugural season, while Kenyon improves to 4-0.

Gray earns top swimming award

Swimmer of the Year

Kenton senior Mo Gray was selected as the Co-Swimmer of the Year by the Lima Area Swim Coaches Association. Gray qualified for the state meet in the 100-yard breaststroke and 200 individual medley. She placed fifth in the state in the 100 breaststroke and was the district champion in that race.
