Kenton swept River Valley 5-0 on Tuesday to move to 2-0 on the season in boys tennis. Kyle Goodin topped Manny Acura 7-6 (8), 6-4 at first singles.

RICHWOOD — Ben Logan scored six runs in the fifth inning to grab a 7-1 nonconference baseball victory over North Union on Tuesday. The Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but North Union tied the score in the fourth.

ADA — Ada scored four runs in each of the first three innings on its way to a 12-2 five-inning win over Arcadia on Tuesday in nonconference softball. Ada (3-0) got a big day from sophomore Teyah Sautter.

MORRAL — The Ridgemont girls placed third Tuesday in a quad track and field meet hosted by Ridgedale. Carey won the meet with 130.5 points.

MARION — Kenton jumped out to a four-run lead and held on to defeat Elgin 4-3 on Tuesday for its second straight one-run win to open the baseball season. The Wildcats scored two runs in the second and third innings to go ahead 4-0.

MARION — Kenton scored four runs in the top of the seventh Tuesday to seal a 10-4 softball victory over Elgin. The Wildcats (1-1) scored a run in the top of the first, but trailed 2-1 after the opening inning.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth to tie Hardin Northern in Northwest Central Conference softball. But the Polar Bears had an answer.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley defeated Hardin Northern 19-3 in Northwest Central Conference baseball Tuesday. The Polar Bears scored a run in the top of the first, but USV came back with eight in the bottom of the first.

Upper Sandusky scored 12 runs in the top of the sixth inning to break open a close softball game and defeat Kenton 19-8 on Monday. The Rams led 7-5 after five innings.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale edged Carey, 2-1, in a non-league softball game Monday to start the season with a win. The Falcons got on the board early by way of an inside-the-park home run by Janessa Taylor in the second inning.
