Raiders win, 7-1

RICHWOOD — Ben Logan scored six runs in the fifth inning to grab a 7-1 nonconference baseball victory over North Union on Tuesday. The Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but North Union tied the score in the fourth.

Bulldogs cruise by Arcadia

ADA — Ada scored four runs in each of the first three innings on its way to a 12-2 five-inning win over Arcadia on Tuesday in nonconference softball. Ada (3-0) got a big day from sophomore Teyah Sautter.

Wildcats get second straight one-run win

MARION — Kenton jumped out to a four-run lead and held on to defeat Elgin 4-3 on Tuesday for its second straight one-run win to open the baseball season. The Wildcats scored two runs in the second and third innings to go ahead 4-0.

Kenton scores 10 runs in road victory

MARION — Kenton scored four runs in the top of the seventh Tuesday to seal a 10-4 softball victory over Elgin. The Wildcats (1-1) scored a run in the top of the first, but trailed 2-1 after the opening inning.

Rams defeat Polar Bear baseball, 19-3

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley defeated Hardin Northern 19-3 in Northwest Central Conference baseball Tuesday. The Polar Bears scored a run in the top of the first, but USV came back with eight in the bottom of the first.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale edged Carey, 2-1, in a non-league softball game Monday to start the season with a win. The Falcons got on the board early by way of an inside-the-park home run by Janessa Taylor in the second inning.
