HUBER HEIGHTS — Ben Logan placed seventh Wednesday in the boys sectional bowling tournament at Poelking Marian Lanes to advance to the district tournament.

LIMA — Hardin Northern pulled away in the second half Wednesday for a 55-27 victory over Lima Perry in girls basketball action. The Polar Bears (10-11) led 25-21 at halftime before outscoring Perry 13-0 in the third quarter and 17-6 in the fourth.

TIFFIN — The No. 11-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team posted a 70-51 victory over Heidelberg Wednesday evening at Seiberling Gymnasium. The Polar Bears improve to 19-3 overall and 14-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Student Princes fall to 9-13, 7-8.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley was in a battle Tuesday night against the eighth-ranked team in Division III. The Rams, who were playing their final regular season game, got a key play late from its shortest player in a 55-49 defeat of Marion Pleasant.

The 3-ball helped keep Kenton in the game, but turnovers and defensive breakdowns cost the Wildcats down the stretch in a 60-43 loss to Bluffton in nonconference boys basketball Tuesday night. The loss drops Kenton to 1-17 on the season, while the Pirates climb to 12-6.

BLUFFTON — Riverdale lost a pair of dual matches Tuesday night, falling 43-15 to Delphos Jefferson and 37-16 to Bluffton.

ELIDA — The Kenton Youth Wrestling team had five boys finish in first and six place second Sunday at the Miami Valley Kids Wrestling Association mini-meet hosted by Elida. Tommy Mustain, Anthony Hunt, Harris Kuykendall and Kole Anspach all went undefeated to place first.

BLUFFTON — Ada graduate Micah Roberson put together one of the best seasons ever by a Bluffton University wide receiver in 2015. Roberson, a junior, set three school records, tied another and was the NCAA Division III leader in receptions.

BLUFFTON — Terrill Webb had a tough decision to make over the summer. The Kenton High graduate and Bluffton University junior decided to stop playing soccer to focus on pole vaulting.
