DOLA — Hardin Northern defeated Upper Scioto Valley in four games Thursday in Northwest Central Conference volleyball. The Polar Bears (11-6, 4-1 NWCC) won 25-23, 25-27, 25-19, 25-15.

McKee wins sectional, KHS golf off to districts

OTTAWA — Tough playing conditions Thursday at the Division II sectional golf meet at Country Acres didn’t seem to bother Kenton senior Anthony McKee. McKee was the only player out of 60 to shoot less than 80 as his round off 77 earned him medalist honors and helped Kenton advance to the district meet as a team with a second-place finish.

Bulldogs fall in five

LIMA — Ada won two of the first three games against Lima Central Catholic, but could not finish off the Thunderbirds on Thursday night. LCC defeated Ada 18-25, 25-17, 29-31, 25-15, 15-9.
