Often people have to make sacrifices, or tough choices, to go after their goals. That’s exactly what 2013 Kenton High graduate Terrill Webb has had to do.

The fourth annual "Rally for the Cure" ladies golf scramble was held Sunday, July 26 at Memorial Park Golf Course. Sixteen teams participated in this ladies-only scramble to raise money for breast cancer research.

WALDO — Britton Hensel of Kenton was recognized for being the top golfer this season in the 16-18-year-old division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association at its year-end banquet Thursday night. Hensel scored 93 points – 13 more than runner-up Lucas Haycook of Elgin – to win the David J. Wensinger Player of the Year $2,000 scholarship.

Kenton Middle School football practice begins Saturday. The first practice will run from 9 to 11 a.m. and is open to any interested student in seventh or eighth grade.

The second annual Taylor's Way 5k run/walk in memory of Taylor Carder was held June 20 at Hardin Northern School. There were over 45 participants in the run/walk. Stephanie Sorgen was the halfway marker riding Taylor's horse Byron.

The last time Brooke Bostelman played in a competitive game that counted in the standings was Jan. 17, 2014. The then-Kenton senior left in the third quarter of a girls basketball game with a serious knee injury. Bostelman — soon to be a redshirt sophomore at University of Rio Grande – should suit up once again...

The YMCA will be hosting a soccer camp July 27-30 for ages 5-15 at the YMCA Soccer Complex on Ohio 292, Kenton. The cost for kids ages 5-7 will be $35 and camp will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Youth ages 8-15 will be pay $40 and the camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Participants will need …
