LIMA — Hardin Northern put Lima Central Catholic away with a 10-run fifth inning on the way to a 16-0 victory in a non-league softball game on Wednesday afternoon.

Kenton tennis sweeps Fostoria

FOSTORIA — The Kenton tennis team won its 11th match of the season on Wednesday, blanking Fostoria 5-0 in a non-league matchup. Winning at singles for the Wildcats was Jake Abbott, who was a 6-0, 6-0 victor over Noah Kitchen at first singles and Kyle Phillips, who defeated Sabian Arana 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

USV starts strong, holds off Lincolnview

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley scored all of its runs in the first two innings, including five in the first frame, and then held off Lincolnview the rest of the way for a 6-3 victory in the non-league baseball matchup.

Riverdale shuts out North Baltimore, 6-0

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale got off to a fast start at the plate, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning, on the way to a 6-0 Blanchard Valley Conference baseball victory over North Baltimore on Wednesday.

Taking the lead

Ottawa-Glandorf scored the winning run the top of the seventh inning to defeat Kenton 3-2 in a Western Buckeye League softball matchup on Tuesday afternoon. The Titans scored the game-winning run when Emily Annessor lined a ball along the right-field line that appeared to drop two feet in foul territory.
