Kenton falls in extra innings

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf pushed the winning run across home plate in the bottom of the eighth inning to edge Kenton 5-4 in a Western Buckeye League baseball game on Tuesday. The home team led 3-0 after one inning before the Wildcats tied the game with a run in the third and two in the fourth.

Raider girls 2nd in county meet

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan finished second with three individual champions Tuesday night in the girls track and field Logan County Championships at Bellefontaine High School. Bellefontaine won with 133 points. The Raiders scored 118.

Falcons sweep Leipsic

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale swept Leipsic in a dual track meet on Tuesday as the Lady Falcons ran away with the meet 115-22, while the boys earned a 107-27 win. In the girls meet, the Falcons won all but two events as Tiffany Penwell led the way with two individual firsts.

Good start fizzles for Ada baseball

ADA — Ada scored four runs in the first inning, but could only plate one more the rest of the game as Pandora-Gilboa rallied for a 12-5 victory over the Bulldogs. Behind by four runs, the visiting Rockets scored five times in both the third and fourth innings on the way to the victory.

HN girls win, boys 2nd at home meet

DOLA — The Hardin Northern girls were first and the Polar Bear boys finished second in the track quadrangular with Arcadia, Arlington and North Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Polar Bears tallied 84 points, followed by Arlington with 66.5, North Baltimore with 65.5 and Arcadia with 24.

Gophers shut out in road defeat

DeGRAFF — Riverside topped Ridgemont 6-0 on Tuesday night in Northwest Central Conference softball. The Pirates scored three runs in the bottom of the first and added two more in the third inning.

Raiders pound Urbana

BELLEFONTAINE — Spencer Bycynski had three RBIs and Todd Coleman and Trey Wilson knocked in two runs each as Ben Logan cruised to a 10-0 Central Buckeye Conference baseball win over Urbana in five innings on Tuesday afternoon.

BELLEFONTAINE — Darian Rockhold had three hits including a triple and four RBIs at the plate and tossed a five-hitter, while striking out seven in the pitching circle to lead Ben Logan to a 14-1 rout of Urbana in Central Buckeye Conference softball Tuesday.
